In the Present scenario of various issues, which run parallel to running a private hospital, I would suggest you to join this Board to make it stronger in reliability and higher in credibility. Here are some ‘Punch’ reasons why you should join Nursing Home Board.
1. Hospital AttacksMost of the instances of Hospital attacks or doctor attacks that happened in the past few years are related to private Hospital Owner Doctors. NHB has done its best in those situations & you can rely on it in the event of crisis.
2. Interactive NHB meets NHB holds regional meetings regularly for four times in a year covering all the corners of the state. We sensitize the doctors of then about various issues like labor Laws for the Hospitals, Biomedical waste disposal, Drug Laws for hospitals, Clinical establishment act, maintenance of Hospital records, managing problems during treatment, managing Death in a private hospital, Hospitals & litigations, managing Attack an Hospitals & Auditing of hospital accounts etc. Because educating our colleagues will help prevention of crisis in a hospital.
3. Hospital Accreditation: We are enrolling members now and we will soon register them in various categories of Accreditation like Primary, Secondary & Tertiary according to their facilities. This will enormously help in self- standardization and also in getting insurance company approval & medical tourism.
4. NHB takes up important issues of private Hospitals, like property tax increment, electricity tariff & clinical establishment act & talk to the of Govt – authorities & some times we fight legally too.
5. Medical Insurance by our own Body we are working with the noble aim of protecting our small hospital owners from growing corporate Hospitals by providing insurance to patients through IMA so that he can retain his clientage.
6. Emergency Ambulance Network we are also talking to the government in forming a statewide Emergence Ambulance Network, which would improve the standard of care of Emergency & trauma victims even in a smaller Nursing Home.
7. NHB is going to form a cooperate societyto purchase equipment with good bargaining. You can also buy other items like cars with collective bargaining.
8. Medical tourism: I hope you will also like to see your Hospital in the map of medical tourism in TamilNadu. This will be feasible once we finish our Accreditation process.
